Due to expansion, our client is now seeking a highly skilled and experienced KdB Developer to join their team on a contract basis. Our client specialises in delivering cutting-edge solutions and technology-driven services to global clients in the finance industry.
As a KdB Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimising KdB infrastructure to ensure efficient data processing, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
Requirements
- KdB+ development experience
- Experience of defining and implementing KdB+ architectures
- Proven delivery of technical solutions to appropriate standards and methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of creating and maintaining KdB+ solutions
- Experience delivering technical solutions in Unix/Linux environment
- Demonstrable technical leadership and decision making
- Experience communicating and liaising with key stakeholders
- Experience of working and delivering solutions in Capital Markets/Investment Banking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Strong experience as a KdB Developer, preferably in the finance industry.
- In-depth knowledge of KdB+ programming language, Q, and familiarity with KdB tick architecture.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant KdB solutions.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, trading systems, and related data structures.
- Experience with data analysis, debugging, and performance tuning in a KDB environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
