They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Embedded Systems to join their Belfast-based team. This role involves working on the design, development, and maintenance of software for access control hardware, supporting the team to meet critical quality and time-to-market milestones.
What will you do:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software for access control hardware systems.
- Develop technical documentation in line with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and quality assurance engineers, as well as 3rd-party companies, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Adhere to development processes, including design reviews, code reviews, and coding guidelines.

What we look for:
- 5+ years of experience in software development using C/C++ in an ARM RTOS or embedded Linux environment.
- Strong understanding of security systems and embedded hardware.
- Experience working in Agile development frameworks.
- Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience in areas such as multi-threading, asynchronous programming, open-source software integration, and software security mechanisms.
- Familiarity with tools such as RFID, network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark), Linux Kernel knowledge, and multi-process programming.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Authorization to work in the UK.
